Design and build of new McShed in Hemel Hempstead

Working with Keystone Distribution's project team, Meller Ltd and Ashleigh Project Management, Goodmarriott & Hursthouse, is involved in a £1.5 million electrical scheme to fit-out Keystone’s warehouse in Hemel Hempstead.

The fit out follows a rebuild following the oil refinery explosion in Hemel Hempstead in December 2005, which destroyed the original warehouse formerly owned by Gilette.

The project, which started at the beginning of May this year and is due for completion in September, is a complete design and build, to provide warehousing for chilled and frozen produce, the McShed, as it is known, houses produce on behalf of McDonalds.

Commented Colin Brunton, Goodmarriott & Hursthouse Project Manager on the scheme:  “Working closely with the Keystone Distribution team, the scheme has been designed to incorporate all the requirements of the client, and once complete, the new warehouse will provide state-of-the-art storage facilities.”
